COMMUNIQUE (CPD)

The Diabetes Foundation Mauritius (DFM) is organizing a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) session for Medical and Nursing Professionals on Saturday 04 April 2026 from 13 00 hours to 18 00 hours. The session will be held at the Lecture Theatre, Mauritius Institute of Training and Development (MITD), Pont Fer, Phoenix.

Programme Schedule
  • 13:00 – 13:30: Introduction and Address by the Managing Committee of Diabetes Foundation Mauritius.
  • 13:30 – 14:30: Renal Transplant by Dr Davy Ip, Consultant in Charge, Nephrologist.
  • 14:30 – 15:30: Rheumatoid Arthritis by Dr Meetranand Thakoor, Physician (Rheumatologist).
  • 15:30 – 16:00: Tea Break
  • 16:00 – 17:00: Before and after the freeze: A Dyadic Case Study of Post-Stroke Rehabilitation and Cryoneurolysis by Britney Soll, Doctoral Candidate for Counselling Psychology.
  • 17:00 – 18:00: Psychological Impact of Gender-based Violence
Participants will be eligible for one (1) CPD point per topic. Attending all four sessions will allow participants to earn four (4) CPD points.
This CPD Programme is FREE OF CHARGE. Due to limited seats, registration will be accepted on a First Come First Serve basis.

Medical and Nursing Professionals who are interested to attend the above CPD session are requested to fill in the application form, available on the DFM website: Application Form by Wednesday 01 April 2026.
